I have spent over 10 years working in a variety of roles such as Cartographer, Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Flash Developer and in recent years as a New Media Specialist. Titles are always wonderful to acquire, but can be vague and do not necessarily demonstrate experience, skill or personality.
Each role inherits with it certain demands and expectations. These experiences have involved planning stratagems toward a variety of projects and clear communication to facilitate a projects completion. I have been responsible for producing illustrations, designing graphics for publication on both the internet and in print, storyboarding concepts, development of interactive web based games, and the development of online learning web interactives.
My tools have ranged from the pencil and sketch book to the pen and tablet. Each tool has its place within a process from concept to development to completion.
However you wish to label it, “art” in its many forms has always been a venue to express ourselves. One must never stop to try or dare something new or different. Much like the eyes are the windows to one's soul, art is the metaphor for the heart and mind.
